Sadly I do not own a bluray player. I’m embarassed to admit it. Being such a movie guru I should own one and have no logical excuse other than I have been cheap. I think I’m about to take the plunge though.

I think my first two were Stargate and Terminator 2, even before I bought a blu-ray player. While I was still busy buying HD DVDs actually. Wouldn’t you know it, both got rereleased and I bought them over again. And I already had the T2 Ultimate Edition on DVD!

The first Blu-ray I bought was Quantum of Solace. I bought it for me, but it was really for the girl I was dating at the time, who would salivate just from the site of Daniel Craig on a movie poster. So that was the first Blu-ray I bought and the first one I watched . . . with her. And boy, was she happy seeing Daniel in 1080p!
