When it comes to horror movies, what are some of the scariest things that get to you? Ghosts? Zombies? Monsters, Little laughing girls or..?

Congratulations to: Derrick Y.
the horror movies that are based on a true story..
I went to a place recently that was just as scary as some of these horror movies!
Large maniacs weilding large knives or power tools usually do it for me. I’m not sure that there’s much you can do to take on something like that. This movie was pretty good. not the best of Romero’s dead series but an entertaining zombie flick. Dawn Of The Dead is still my favorite that he’s done. Another long forgotten zombie movie that I’m sure only I remember is Shock Waves. A 70’s film about Nazi zombies no less. For some reason I really enjoyed it but I’m a bit of a fan of those type of movies.
never seen this movie,is it any good.?
For me, I’d have to go with zombies. Well, not zombies, per se, but definitely the more recent batch that Hollywood has been churning out in recent years – those that have a quasi-scientific explanation behind them (plague, contagion, etc. rather than black magic). There’s also been some vampire films like that lately. I guess the more plausible they make it, the scarier it is for me…
diary of the dead is an awesome movie, i have watched it several times, another great romero zombie movie. zombies do freak me out.
Ghosts and little laughing girl ghosts… those things kill me!!!!!! I’m not a fan of ghosts and zombies because they’re so unrealistic, but I can imagine a little girl ghost down my hallway in the middle of the night and it freaks me out to simply think about it!! I had a nightmare about that the other night and I woke up with tears in my eyes :(
Zombies really freak me out because man are those things hard to kill. If you don’t remember it takes a shot to the head you could be there all day swinging, kicking and chopping. They are already dead so good luck!
Serial Killers, silence of the lambs really freaked me out.
Congrats to the winner
Vicious little kids
I hate the thought of dead bodies and I hate scary music!
Little laughing girls definitely are the creepiest to me! Ghosts, monsters and zombies aren’t real…but the creepy kids…*shudders*…Scaaaarrrrryyyy.
Nothing beats little kids, or adults (men or women) that are possessed by evil spirits or Satan…that is what truly scares me… ooh we must forget teenagers crawling upside down on ceilings!!!
I generally dislike horror movies >.< Creepy little girls on swings that vanish and reappear give me goosebumps.
The music that accompanies the suspenseful moments really freaks me out. The creatures in the movie The Descent were really creepy!
Spiders are the things that scare me the most.
killers a la halloween or friday the 13th
I’m not really into horror movies, but I like horror video games, like fear2 that you sale at a very low price.
Serial killers in movies always scare me, even after the film is over. Zombies are always good for a scare too. Ghosts if done right, and creepy small towns where it turns out everyone is part of a slug worshiping cult.
Crazy guys carrying chainsaws
Zombies really creep me out but I still love the movies!!
Zombies
zombies
the creepy kids from the shining or from village of the damned
dismemberment
Zombies
Little laughing girls fit the bill!
dead boddies
Ugly scary monsters.
zombies
blood and guts — gory special effects — the way they kill people or the way people accidently die.
Voodoo
People getting chopped up.
knowing it is a true story gets me the most.
girls with spinning heads and green vomit
Crazy psychos with chainsaws
Little girls scare me like the one in The Shining
Sharks named Bruce. (Yes, really.)
Dolls that come to life or talk. lol
The things that get to me most are evil children. Especially when they look at adults with that blank-yet-judging expression on their faces. British horror movie “The Children” got it exactly right. Freakin’ chilling.
Little girls, the boy that meowed from the grudge, possessions…
Spirits… and little girl ghosts
Supernatural things are the scariest to me because they actually exist..and nobody can explain them!!
Little girls with messy hair
The unknown is always the scariest. Films like the Blare Witch Project are the freakiest.
bloodied creeps showing up in my bathtub..again
Supernatural things would be the toughest to defend against because they can appear out of thin air. Meanwhile, you can usually barricade yourself against zombies and other physical monsters.
Nightmare on Elm Street – I don’t know why but that series gets me EVERYTIME… or JAWS lol does that one count Just the music gets me everytime…
dead bodies falling out of closets etc.
I guess it would be ghosts or spiritual things. Poltergiest and The Exorcist come to mind.
nothing really scares me…so let’s say human crasy psychopath torturing people.
real killers-serial-abductors-especially of kids and helpless people!
I would say all of the above – Ghosts, Zombies, Monsters and little girls.
burning alive with no way out or being in a submerged car under water
Rats!
Clowns, spiders and other bugs.
creepy dead children
would have to be clowns…pennywise was the best one of them all
Ghosts, like in Paranormal Activity. That movie was crazy.
