Entertainment Reviews
Here comes another seemingly great romantic drama movie starring Zac Efron. He has grown up since his last 3 movies which were “17 Again (2009)”, “High School Musical 3: Senior Year (2008)” and “Me and Orson Welles (2008)”. In these movies he showed that he could be a good dramatic actor but in Charlie St. Cloud, he seems to have surpassed himself again. This time, the connection between the director Burr Steers and Zac Efron appears to be much more solid than their previous one, which was 17 Again, and which was pretty entertaining. Also, Charlie St. Cloud is an adaptation of a book by Ben Sherwood titled “The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud”. We’ll see how good (or not so good) that movie is this Friday.
Directed by: Burr Steers
Staring: Zac Efron, Amanda Crew, Kim Basinger, Chris Massoglia, Dave Franco, Charlie Tahan, Donal Logue, Tegan Moss, Augustus Prew and Brenna O’Brien
Synopsis
Charlie St. Cloud (Zac Efron )is a young man overcome by grief at the death of his younger brother Sam (Charlie Tahan). So much so that he takes a job as caretaker of the cemetery in which his brother is buried. Charlie has a special lasting bond with his brother though, as he can see him. Charlie meets up with his brother (Sam) each night to play catch and talk. Then, a girl, who happens to be his high-school classmate Tess (Amanda Crew), comes into Charlie’s life and he must choose between keeping a promise he made to Sam, or going after his newfound love. And as he finds the courage to let go of the past for good, Charlie discovers the soul most worth saving is his own.

I don’t know anybody who went to see this one. Wrong age group I guess.
What a great movie
can’t wait to get this on dvd
Doesn’t look too bad. I may have to rent it eventually
well I watched it in the end, but my dislike of Efron’s acting couldn’t let me focus on anything but how bad he was u.u
More for my niece perhaps.
Not a fan!
love zac efron
I know that most people are not a huge fan of this one and it didn’t get great reviews but for some reason I have a huge desire to watch it. I don’t know what it is, I guess I’m just a sucker for cheesy romances!
Ended up being dragged (kicking and screaming) to this one. Still can’t say I really enjoyed it – was far too saccharine for my taste – but it wasn’t as bad as I was expecting. Nice performance by Tahan.
I’ll wait for the DVD.
don’t think so.. Don’t like Zac Efron’s acting
Think I will be waiting for the DVD on this one.
This does nothing for me. Sorry
Not into this movie. My friend said it dragged on too long in the middle
I’m not a huge Zack Efron fan but this movie looks alot better than High School Musical ones!
I am not into this one either. I’m also not a fangirl of zac efron so that might be why
Not my type of movie
I will wait for the dvd
I’m more likely to wait for it on DVD/Blu-ray
I think I’ll wait for the Bluray
This one is playing at the drive in this weekend where I live. If I wasn’t working I would probably go see it for sure since it looks pretty good!
This movie looks awful to me. The only way I’d see this is if it got incredible critic reviews (which seems incredibly unlikely).
Only if dragged there kicking and screaming : )
wait til the dvd release so i can watch it in the comfort of my home
it looks like a good movie, but i will wait til i can buy it on dvd to see it
I’ll wait until it comes out on DVD and rent it.
proberly will not see it this weekend, but it does look pretty good
I have a feeling I’m gonna have to watch it with my wife, all women seem to be falling for this 22 year old. But still, Zac’s not bad of an actor, so it might actually be enjoyable.
I’d love to go see it if I can manage to convince my husband to take me!
