Daily Giveaway Question:
Considering that today’s giveaway is from the 50’s, what would you say is the oldest move you’ve seen? Here are some classics that may help you answer this question.

Congratulations to: Jacob
Singing in the Rain was the first musical I saw in London.. I noticed lots of swinging of hips with hand movements as well as tap dancing. I love to have the original movie version.
Some of the old classics are truly “Oldies but Goodies”.
Gone With The Wind. Growing up I had always heard so much reference to it in other movies that I had to see it for myself. I’ve only ever watched the restored color version but would love to see it in it’s original black and white. They always look more authentic in black and white the way they were meant to be shown. Vivian Leigh was fantastic in her notable role of Scarlett!
it is a classic but ive never seen it
wtg
congrats to the winner
never seen it
Oldest movie I’ve ever seen was The Adventure of the Wrong Santa Claus, produced in 1914 by the Edison Studios and lasting a whopping 10 minutes – I think it’s still available for viewing somewhere on the web.
As for the oldest movie I’ve seen during it’s original release, the oldest I can remember is Star Wars.
this movie was pretty good :) I laughed at my mom for renting this one but I secretly watched it and I loved it lol… so I apologized and she laughed at me u.u
Rebel Without A Cause. It’s not the oldest I’ve seen I’m sure but it’s pretty far up there and one of my favorite movies. I spent some time studying this movie and the significance of the red jacket in one of my University courses. Such a tragic movie when you think of the fact that all three of the main actors died so tragically. Great movie nonetheless.
Congrats to the winner
The Shape Of Things To Come
Thomas Edison experimental film
From 1927: “Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans”
Wizard of Oz
Nosferatu I think is from 1920 maybe?
Other than that Gone with the wind, The Wizard of Oz, Forbidden Planet, the Charlie Chaplain movies, the Three Stooges, and I could go on…
The Quiet Man (1952) with John Wayne. It was the first John Wayne movie I ever watched and was hilarious and even had a feisty redhead to make it even better. ;)
Casablanca
To Kill A Mockingbird I think was one of the oldest movies I’ve seen I think.
Nosferatu, eine Symphonie des Grauens
One of the oldest movies I recall seeing is the original King Kong from 1933. Thank you for the great give-away.
I used to watch old movies with my dad. He loved to watch Marx Brothers movies and Laurel & Hardy!
Citizen Kane
Ben Hur
The Thin Man
Gone with the wind
Gone with the wind
Le Voyage Dans La Lune & Birth of a Nation
I think the oldest I have seen is Maltese Falcon.
Gone with the Wind and Wizard of Oz
I once saw that movie ‘Nosferatu’ which is a really old silent film. I am not sure what year, but very old for sure.
Any of the silents like M or Beauty and the Beast or Ben Hur or is it the short of the horse running? All old and nice to watch. My favorites are Charlie Chaplain’s.
the wizard of oz is all i can think of at the moment
The oldest movie I have seen is Gone with the Wind. (1939)
I would have to say the oldest movie I’ve seen is The Christmas Carol.
The Laurel and Hardy and The 3 Stooges are some of the older films I’ve seen.

the ghost and Mrs Muir 1947
Captain Courageous 1934
rise of a nation or metropolis
The oldest movie I’ve seen is “Le Voyage Dans La Lune” from 1902. I’m sure that others have seen this one, too. Maybe all they remember is the scene where the rocket lodges in the eye of the Man in the Moon and dancing girls climb out of the rocket.
Ben Hur
All Quiet On The Western Front: 1930
It was a Charlie Chaplin movie, but I never knew the name of it :P
The Thin Man series with William Powell and Myrna Loy.
Probably a Charlie Chaplin movie.

King Kong (1933)
This is my second favorite movie of all time. So classic. The oldest movie I’ve seen is “Sunrise” the first ever best picture winner. Silent movie but totally excellent even by today’s standards.
It’s a Wonderful Life or A Christmas Carol
It’s a Wonderful Life (1946)
