This weekend GOING THE DISTANCE starring real-life couple Drew Barrymore and Justin “The Mac Guy” Long opens at theaters near you.

What happens when boy meets girl, they click, but then realize that one of them is leaving at the end of the summer to go back to grad school. Answer- they decide to be adults and just enjoy the ride as long as they can until summer finishes and then leave with a handshake and a hug. Of course, life is never ever that simple, they end up falling in love. In love, but in 2 different cities -- one in New York, the other in San Francisco. Can they somehow make their love work despite all this?
Admittedly, I will go out of my way NOT to see this movie. I probably will speed up in the car as we pass theaters showing this, just so my girlfriend has no clue that it’s playing anywhere nearby. There is a small chance, that when we try to see MACHETE this weekend, that she’ll notice that it’s playing in Cinema 2 right next door -- so if anyone sees me this weekend at the theater -- I want you to PROMISE me that you’ll keep quiet. If I come back Tuesday morning and I seem sluggish and non-responsive, you’ll all know why and it’ll be your faults. If I come in wearing an “I’m a Samantha” Sex & The City t-shirt, things have gone beyond wrong -- and I give you permission to pull the plug. I’ll be in a better place, trust me.
Anyone planning on seeing this? Anyone have any ideas on how to get out of seeing this?
