Whitney Houston shared many things with her daughter, hopefully her struggles with addiction are not one of them. With the recent passing of her mom, Bobbi Kristina Brown’s future is a cause for concern with close family members. Everyone was well aware of Houston’s latest attempts to beat the demons that had haunted her for so long, but what many didn’t notice was the subtle clues being presented by her 18 year old daughter, Bobbi Kristina.
In 2009, Bobbi Kristina was reported to have snorted large amounts of cocaine at a party she attended with a young beau. Her response was quick and fiery in her own defense, claiming that the person who leaked the story was only “in it for the money”. She tried to squash the rumors before they were started, but the damage had been done and many close to the family were beginning to fear the worst. Through all the rumors and hype, Whitney supported her young daughter and even recommitted to kicking her own bad habits.
Now with the erratic behavior of her father, shedding more light on the circumstances surrounding her mother’s death, Bobbi Kristina is once again coming to terms with being caught in an unbecoming situation. Her father’s brief appearance at her Houston’s memorial service, and subsequent early departure because of a seating arrangement not to his liking, left Bobbi Kristina to deal with much of her grief on her own. Several hours after the service, she was discovered at a local hotel “getting high“. Houston’s family is realizing there will be little support for the young woman when it comes to her father. At this time, their biggest concern is Bobbi Kristina’s health and safety. They know they have their work cut out for them. Hopefully by focusing on Whitney Houston’s legacy, they can bring Bobbi Kristina full circle and show her the positive side of her mother’s world.
