Die-hard fans who had camped out in the rain just to sneak a peek, roared as pop singer, Justin Beiber performed on stage at the ‘Today’ show. “The performance was amazing,” a devoted fan told MTV news. “We saw his face–his actual personal face!” Bieber gave his fans what they came for when he started off with a song from his new album, “Boyfriend” and a past favorite hit “Baby.” Surprising the audience with an appearance by Big Sean as they rapped out “As long as you Love Me.” Bieber interacted with the audience chatting and checking out their signs. One lucky fan, received tickets for his upcoming tour for her creative sign. Before the performance, he spoke to Matt Lauer about the tour, his fans and becoming more mature with his music. He said he’s grown and so has his fans and he wants to make sure they’re happy with the outcome as he transitions from a teen heart throb into a young man. Matt was so impressed by the globe-trotting singer that he allowed Justin to help him send out his first tweet.
Discovered on YouTube in 2008 by Scooter Braun, Bieber then had an audition with Usher and L.A. Reid and was immediately signed up for a recording contract. His first single, “One Time”, was released in 2009 and went Platinum in both Canada and America. The video featured an appearance by Usher. Bieber was barely a teenager and has been a mega hit sensation ever since. The Ontario born, pop star became the first to have seven hits on the album chart of the Billboard Hot 100. At 18 years old he’s been named the 3rd most powerful celebrity in the world with over 15 million albums sold worldwide.
The more mature Justin Bieber promises his music will reflect the changes going on in his life and those of his fans.
