The Barbados bombshell, Rihanna whose voice has captivated the world fled from a London hotel Wednesday morning from a fire that broke out in the elevator shaft of a luxury hotel. Over 300 guests were evacuated from the hotel and fortunately there were no injuries reported. Firefighters were called to the scene and isolated the blaze on the seventh floor of the Corinthia Hotel. The London Fire Brigade reported that it took ten firemen to put out the fire. Rihanna tweeted out that she was roaming the streets of London. She sent out photos of herself in a cab and one of a fire truck. Fans were happy that the 24 year old, pop singer was unharmed and in good spirits.
The incident occured days after Rihanna surprised fans as she joined her mentor, Jay-Z on stage to kick off the weekend at the One Hackney Music Festival. The show wrapped up with a performance by Kayne West and RiRi as the headlining act on Sunday where she performed in a pair of sizzling hot pants. But performing wasn’t the only thing she had flown to the UK for. It was also a trip to firm up details for her upcoming TV series in Britain. Rihanna will be working behind the scenes as the show’s producer. The premise of the show is to discover fashion talent and challenge them to create stage outfits for celebrities and performance artists. Spotted in a red tuxedo suit, Rihanna was out filming for her new show. Designer, Henry Holland and Girls Aloud, Nicole Roberts were with her and it was all business. No partying that night! It looks like RiRi has overcome her ongoing health issues and shedding the bad girl image.
