Fans of the hit TV series “Burn Notice “will be shocked and surprised when a key character gets killed, impacting the entire cast and direction of the show. Leaving the steamy tropic of Miami, “Burn Notice” will be shot in a completely different location. Michael, played by Jeffrey Donovan, becomes focused on one thing…to find the killer. The series premiered in June 2007 and has become a hit on the USA Network. Michael Weston, the lead character and a spy, has been “burned” by the CIA. They discredit him, announcing he’s no longer with the agency and is dangerous and unreliable. Michael becomes obsessed and driven to find the person who has given the” burn notice” and more importantly why. He’s joined by his trigger happy ex-girlfriend, Fiona and a good friend, Sam who help him in his endeavor while fending off criminals who get in their way. With his assets frozen, Michael’s forced to stay in Miami working as a private investigator in order to make money and continue his search for the person who had him blacklisted.
The characters continue to develop as the romance between Michael and his sexy ex heats up with each episode. His feelings are undeniable and the show takes an emotional turn when Michael actually sheds tears while visiting Fiona in jail. The heartfelt scene has fans wanting more and hoping these two can get it together once Fiona is out of prison and out of her ugly orange jumpsuit.
Jeffrey Donovan who also played Bobby Kennedy in the movie J. Edgar got his chance on the other side of the camera and directed an episode of the show. Not a stranger to behind the scenes, Jeffrey directed the Burn Notice Movie which aired in spring of 2011. The prequel’s set in Bogotá, Columbia,taking place in 2005. The series continues to thrill fans and is one of TV’s hottest shows.
