Does size matter ?

Most people look for contests and giveaways that have the largest prizes. However, if the prize is a large amount of cash or something similar to that, it is unlikely that they will win the prize. Many others will try to enter the contest, lowering the individual odds so that it is highly unlikely for that one person to win. Individuals who want a higher chance of winning a contest or giveaway need to look for contests or giveaways that are not as highly publicized. A great location to find contests that are not highly publicized or talked about are blogs. Blogging is growing fast and there are a number of different contests that are held on blogs each and every day. These contests give away prizes such as laptop computers, money, free DVD’s and many of the other items that are given away by major retailers and stores in Canada. Best of all, fewer people hear about these contests which increases the individual odds of winning these contests.

And what about the ladies ?

Free giveaways and contests are also more popular among females than males. Females love being able to win certain items especially when they are able to get something for free that would otherwise cost them money. Men, in general, do not like putting forth the extra effort to enter the contest. They would rather fork over the money that is necessary in order to purchase the item and call it good. That is why many of the free giveaway and contest winners are women instead of men.

Some contests are also held in retail stores. These contests could include video game giveaways, movie giveaways and even daily draws! Holidays are another popular time for stores to have giant celebrations and many stores go all out with their contests and giveaways. Often, you do not have to purchase any items in order to eligible for the giveaway. However, most free giveaways do result in people being pulled into the store that would otherwise not have shopped at the store. The store then tries to lure these individuals into purchasing all sorts of different items through special sales, discounts and enticements that are running at the same time as the giveaway promotion.

Canada contests and Canada giveaways are a great opportunity for Canadian shoppers to score some free merchandise, discounts, gift cards and other prizes. Do not forget that these stores want to give away all of these items as part of their promotional efforts. Why not allow them to give away these items so they are able to be successful in their promotional tactics? Many of the monthly giveaways that are run by stores give you bonus entries for purchasing on more days. Going to the store every day and purchasing something can give you a huge leg up as well as make more money for the retailer.

When you enter a contest you should read the fine print. Many of the contests and giveaways that people enter today provide you with the opportunity to earn free entries without having to purchase something. Usually you will have to mail an envelope to an address and you will be given several free entries. Don’t pass up your opportunity to get involved in these contests. You may be able to win video game giveaway, movie giveaways and many other types of contests and giveaways.
