Fox TV has a gold mine on its hands and everyone knows it. It’s fun. It’s upbeat, and it’s a musical of all things. Glee is a show for the whole family. Centered around the efforts of a high school music teacher to revive and rejuvenate the school’s failing Glee Club, the show is full of musical numbers, dancing and the normal drama of any high school. Each week Glee continues to draw new fans and tighten its hold on existing ones.

Glee’s latest accomplishment is its tribute to Michael Jackson. The show garnered almost 9 million viewers, boosting its popularity almost 16 percent since October. Several of Jackson’s biggest hits were used throughout the show, including “Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’”, “Smooth Criminal” and “Black or White”. The young stars of the show who perform the numbers do an amazing job. Chris Colfer does his part by donning a one piece leather number for his part and pulling it off without a hitch.

Since its original airing in 2009, Glee has continued to draw an audience that includes all age groups. One of it’s biggest demographics is 18 to 49 year olds. Various musicians have made appearances on the show, including Ricki Martin. Martin plays a sexy Spanish teacher who catches the eye of almost anyone he meets. The show’s star attraction does not end with Martin. Other celebrity guests that have appeared on the show include Brittney Spears and Gwyneth Paltrow. Jane Lynch provides the show with a solid back bone that supplies humor and her own unique flair. There are several young stars that reoccur in various shows that provide a fresh set of faces to go with the everchanging musical menu. Glee continues to bring out the best in today’s music and talent, It’s going to be interesting to see what direction they take next.

Miley Cyrus has always tried to give herself the image of a good Christian girl. However, she has had to deal with photographs in the past that made people question this image. Once again, Miley Cyrus is in the news having to defend her actions. This time the issue stems from a small tattoo of the “equal” sign on her middle finger. She shared the picture on her Twitter account, labeling it “All love is equal.” This is Miley’s way of showing her support for gay marriage.

Because many religious groups feel that gay marriage goes against their religion, some have taken offense to the fact that Miley Cyrus sports this tattoo. They claim that as a Christian, she shouldn’t be supporting this issue at all. Instead, Miley states that her job as a Christian is to be supportive and accepting of everyone, including those whose beliefs don’t coincide with her own. In her mind, this tattoo doesn’t show a lack of faith on her part; it shows that she isn’t the one to judge the actions of others.

Miley Cyrus has even taken the meaning behind her tattoo a step further in her support for gay marriage. She has been vocal against supporting companies who support political candidates that are against the issue of gay marriage. In fact, she recently stated she would no longer shop at Urban Outfitters because of their support for Rick Santorum.

While many religious leaders and organizations will never see things the way Miley Cyrus does, her tattoo and support for the cause of gay marriage will make an impact. Teenagers and others who look up to this young artist will learn a lesson in tolerance. If the world became a more tolerant place with less persecution, it would be a better place for everyone to live. Reaching this point requires each person to consciously make the decision to consider all people equal, which will take time. Each time one person reaches that point, the world becomes a better place.

Apparently Demi Moore is having a little trouble remembering how old she is. She was caught partying with her daughter, Rumer, at Miley Cyrus’ birthday party for her boyfriend, Liam (Miley’s boyfriend, not Demi’s). This, of course being the party with the penis cake. Either Liam has a good sense of humor, Miley’s a little obsessed with what’s going on in his trousers or someone needs to explain to Cyrus what is means when boys like penises so much they want then in the form of cake.

Reportedly Moore attended in secret, chugged Red Bull all night and left after midnight. Now, it wouldn’t be much of an issue if she just wanted to go out and party. She is rich, hot and has plenty of leisure time, but when you look around and see all of your daughters friends doesn’t a little warning light go off? Red Bull and penises are nice, but are you talking about with these people?

This secret party action was revealed soon after Ms. Moore had to go to the hospital because of seizure-like symptoms suffered during some overzealous whip-it time. For those not following the drug world, a whip it is nitrous oxide, often in a balloon or straight from a whipped cream can that is inhaled in order to achieve a short high. Now, let’s not judge her for her taste in drugs. Sure, whip its are usually for high school kids, but what drug is really approriate to her age, liquor and tranquilizers? What warrants a little judgement is that at almost 50 she still can’t handle her drugs. One would think she’s had enough time and experience to know her limits. At these rate she may end up in rehab right next to Lindsay Lohan, which may be exactly what she wants.
